Pay the Rent Quarter Party

When the rent is due...you have to do what you have to do!

In some instances that means turning to the old tradition of a "Rent Party". This classic work of art by Annie Lee depicts the activities at a rent party. Some people are playing cards, others are dancing and some are talking and socializing.

The Alabama born and Chicago raised artist was known for featureless faces and the emotion and expression that radiated from the everyday people depicted in her work.
